A Sharpo Inc. recommends that when you order your party performer that you allow at least half an hour for your guests to arrive before the scheduled show time. This helps to make sure everyone gets to enjoy the show. If you realize that you might need more time for a performance or you need to change a time of a show, please let the main office know as soon as you can. We will try to accommodate your party the best we can depending on the schedule of other performances that day. If the performer is already at the party, you may ask him/her for extra time and they will let you know their schedule for that day.

Q Will my performer be on time?

A It is very important to us that we arrive on time for your party. Occasionally, because of conditions beyond our control such as traffic, etc a performer may be a few minutes late. If you are concerned about a performer that has not shown up exactly on time you are welcome to call us and we will locate your performer. We ask that you allow 15 minutes for the performer to arrive safely to your show from the time that you booked. If in the unlikely event that the performer is a few minutes late, you will receive the full time and show that you booked the performer for, nothing will be left out.

Q Why don’t your clowns wear makeup?

A Sharpo Inc. has found that while some kids respond well to clowns in makeup, there are many children that are frightened by it. We really want a performance that is fun for everybody. Our clowns are silly and friendly so the whole family can enjoy them.

Q Why don’t you have my child‘s favorite TV character or famous mascot?

A Most TV characters are protected by law as trademarks and licensed property. Only those with permits to use these famous characters can provide them. Not only that, but we strive to provide performers that have a genuine gift in interacting and entertaining with children. Hiding the talent of our performers under hot, hard to wash masks, makeup, or bulky costumes does not allow a performer to do their best and does not meet our standards as fun and nurturing entertainment.

Q How do I know I am getting a quality entertainer? Are they safe for my kids?

A Sharpo Inc. is a family business. The owners Eric and Nora Sharp are parents as well as professionals. Our performers are professional, healthy, energetic and naturally enjoy spending time with kids. Most of them have college education and degrees. We enjoy spending time with our performers which means we actually know them and welcome them into our own home. Nora Sharp is also a registered nurse and she personally oversees the cleaning of costumes and props. We demand excellent hygiene and hand washing of our performers.

Q Why does an adult from my party need to supervise the children at the party when the performer is there?

A The performer is booked to entertain children at your party, not to provide child care. A performer cannot be responsible for children who wander away or need help during the party. It is unsafe not to have adult supervision at all times during your party.

Q Do you serve food and/or tea at the tea parties?

A Sharpo Inc. is a California corporation that provides entertainment. We are not licensed food handlers or preparers. We can only bring prepackaged items such as apple juice and crackers to enjoy with the tea parties in compliance to health laws. You are welcome to use our tea sets to serve meals that you prepare yourself during your party, just let us know in advance so we can make sure to include time for this.

Q What kind of crafts can I do at a craft party?

A All crafts will be chosen on an age appropriate basis. Our most popular crafts are princess tiaras, tote bags, decorating hats for tea parties and beading jewelry. If you have something specific in mind we will research the project and quote you a price on the number of guests at your party. The best prices on crafts can be obtained by booking your party early so we can get the items we need for your party at the best rate. Nora Sharp has been a craft and hobby maker for many years and will personally plan your craft party for fun and creativity.

Q Do you bring tables for the tea parties?

A We can bring small tables for little guests or folding tables for adults and older children. If you plan to host the party at your home we can use your regular dining room table. We will place a protective table cloth over your table to help prevent damage from spills.

Q What themes can I use for a Mommy/Daddy and Me Party?

A Just about any party can be made so Mom or Dad can be spending special time with their children by doing activities at the party together. It can be simple like giving you a part in a kids show or more specific like having matching tea sets for adults and little tea cups for kids at a tea party where you make a craft together. At these parties our staff become facilitators in helping you and your child enjoy special time together.

Q Can you help me mail invitations?

A Sharpo Inc. would be happy to help you mail invitations for your upcoming parties. There is an extra charge depending on the number of guests at your party.

Q I Don’t see the theme I want, is the list on the website all that you have?

A We happily accept questions and suggestions. We are here to provide a service to you, so if you have something in mind that you don’t see let us know. Sharpo Inc. is always improving and expanding our costumes and programs and will do our best to accommodate requests.

Q I read in the terms and conditions that a performer can terminate a party before the finish time if the party is unmanageable what does that mean? Also, if that happens am I charged for the party?

A Very rarely, we will come to a party to perform and find that a party is unmanageable. This means that either the performer feels that it is an unsafe environment or that children and /or adults are verbally or physically abusive at the party. We are aware that children get excited at parties and that we are there to help facilitate the entertainment to help use that energy to apply to happy and creative activities. However, sometimes children use that energy to hit, jump on, or destroy property of the performers. Sharpo Inc. values our performers and instruct them to leave without payment from the client if the performer is in an unacceptable environment to perform.
